All’s well that ends well….

Fashion week came to a close with the Marc Jacobs show. Miraculously it started within 20 minutes of the time printed on the invite, whereas in past seasons, his shows started almost an hour late. Sonic Youth did a live performance, Victoria Beckham sat front row, and Marc had blue hair. Other than that, the show was nothing spectacular, in fact I found the collection quite boring, the clothing lacked shape and femininity and was just poorly executed.

The after party proved to be more exciting, as MIA deejayed a great set, I absolutely adore her, so in my eyes she could do no wrong. Above are the only pictures that came out from my camera, for more vibrant and fun pics, check out Mark’s photography on the cobrasnake. Next we went on to Annex, where Agyness Deyn stood by and watched her boyfriend Josh Hubbard of The Paddingtons perform. After a round of tequila shots and plenty of g&t’s it was home for the night.

Happy Chinese New Year

February 7, 2008

One of the most important holidays in Chinese culture, it starts on the first day of the new moon of the new year and lasts for fourteen days. Red is the color of the holiday, many dinners and traditions take place during the celebrations. 2008 is the year of the rat, and although it isn’t the most glamorous animal, it seems that rats have a certain amount of good qualities. Find out what animal represents the year you were born here.

Feeling a little under the weather today. Last night we went to the Matthew Williamson after-party at Socialista, which was actually very mellow considering the celebs that were in attendance. Open bar, and good music made for a pleasant evening. Today work was actually considerably calm, as fashion week is slowly dwindling down. A good friend of mine is flying into town late this evening, maybe my life will calm down a bit once she arrives, but knowing her, and her antics, we most likely will be causing a raucous about town.

Today on the playlist, is Black Kids: I’m not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you. Along with MGMT : Time to Pretend. Speaking of music, the Bonnaroo line up has been released and both of the aforementioned groups are set to play at the festival:

The party was kinda crazy. Everyone danced, and The Slits performed. Not what they use to be, wasn’t impressed. If you can spot Chloe in the crowd you get brownie points, actually not really because it should be obvious. This photo is actually straight from JJ’s camera. She was doing the whole paparazzi thing last night.
